News :. Sean P Donates to H.E.A.T. Wednesday 13 December 2006 - 17:57:21
Dear Friend:

The Heating Energy Assistance Team, Inc. (H.E.A.T.) is proud to announce that Sean P (aka Sean Paul of the YoungBloodZ) has made a generous donation to the organization and we thank him for his charity. As a result of his philanthropy, Sean P has personally urged us to reach out to his fellow tastemakers in the entertainment industry to also give back. Having just returned to Georgia from participating in a two-week Navy tour in Iraq, Sean P saw first hand the homelessness and deprivation among natives of the Middle East. Sean P states, “It’s not good to see the same problems here at home.” Think about it. There are many senior citizens and young families that are just one utility bill from homelessness or are struggling to keep families together because the breadwinner is fighting the war in Iraq.

H.E.A.T. and Sean P are presenting an excellent opportunity for YOU to make a contribution to help families who are living on the edge of poverty keep their home heat on this winter. H.E.A.T., a statewide, 501(c) (3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, helps needy citizens with energy emergencies. Since 1983, H.E.A.T. has helped to meet the needs of nearly 78,000 households. Unfortunately, even with the combined efforts of private and government programs, only one third of the approximately 460,000 potentially eligible families who need assistance actually receive it. The need is great, but with your help, H.E.A.T. can assist more families in need this winter. Log on to www.heatga.org for more information about H.E.A.T.

Will you join Sean P and other contributors in an effort to help families avoid having to choose between heating their homes and obtaining needed food or medicine? Donations are accepted on an ongoing basis, but your response before the end of the year would help a number of families to enjoy a warm holiday. Please help – the gift of warmth is in your hands.

Sincerely,

Staci Bush
